Both new (ish) Kids on the block, styling wise and definately not the normal GSXRCBRZZR mould,
Imagine that you have been offered one, servicings paid for for 2 years, which would you fancy?

I must say I like the styling of both, but the Frame of the MZ, it's angles and the bike's overall poise sell it for me. The BMW seems just a bit too intense and bolt together Oh Well

There are less bolts on the new one than the old version, for instance the rear footpeg hangers are now welded (imo not a good idea)

However its horses for courses, I bet the BM would leave the sportsbike for dead round very twisty roads.

Then of course there's the wear on older joints (like mine) so BM it is Happy

Also the MZ has that nasty looking rail frame and the tank looks like a wok upside down, however its a bit different to the usual sports bike, so thats in its favour. I'd like one if I was 20 years younger. Oh and in blue please Grin

MZ looks a bit slab sided to me, apart from that very much like any other faired bike.

BM is quirky and different, I'll choose that one.

Both are ugly. The BM is purposefully ugly. The MZ is just horrible, like someone threw it together. Close up the MZs always look really cheaply made to me. Oddly enough I thought the same about the new BMW F900s I saw recently - that was similar to the MZ in it's build quality IMO , I would hope that the 1200 is better but I've not studied one close up to know.

This thread should be named "A matter of taste"

I agree with both Gio and BG.

I had a big save for the MZ lined up, well and the BMW too, but it's not about what I think as how people interpret the styling themselves.

I feel the MZ wasnt shown in it's best light, neither was the BM, another couple of pics..

The MZ looks like the styling came from Korea or something. Not pretty. The BMW is a fabulous motorcycle if not all that lovely - it'd be hard to find a better all purpose bike though - except maybe the BMW R12GSA, if I could put a foot down that is.

I had a go on the Adventure, imo its not road friendly, but I imagine its a better bike offroad, its a fair bit wider and filtering would be a problem.
