I'd certainly like to stay informed. I did my IAM over 20 years ago and was thinking about doing the RoSPA award, but haven't yet got around to it due to lack of available time. Now that I'm self employed and effectively working to my own (part-time) timetable, this may be of interest.

I am rather cynical of the whole accreditation business. I have some experience in running IT courses where the organisation I worked for were happy that there was a degree of "rubber-stamping" people's existing skills. For £2k a pop.

I would advocate caution in the academic business model. All too often in these circumstances the piece of paper with letters on it becomes more important than the skills learnt.

I'd be interested if I could learn something new from it. Any chance of seeing a syllabus?

Happy

I've pretty much decided to give up on all qualification focused training. I think I'll just do one, maybe 2 ad hoc days training a year - just to stop any bad habits creeping in.

This was why EMPTO revamped the qualifications recently with more stringent evidence requirements. I saw an awful lot of "quickie" D32/D33s in my time. Having said that, there are a few enterprising people who are starting to cheat with the new A1 qualification. Oh Well
