No. It's a major pain in the poor chute.
Like the Falco the RC8 does not like hanging around in traffic and heats up way too quick.
I thought I had found the perfect solution, a manual switch that plugs onto the temp switch and into the wiring, will allow the fan to kick in even when in the off position.
First problem, can't find the loom plug so I went to remove fairing panel.
Second problem, 5 of the 6 bolts undo, the threaded clip is broken and just spinning around spitting out bits of orange plastic as I turn the hex key, no room to get in there with pliers or the like .
Best option now ?
Drill with surgical precision ?

....and this is on a new bike?
Bolts should be able to come out without problem.
Sounds like a manufacturing issue - yours done up by the pet gorilla.
If you take it up with them, best not to mention the plan to mod the wiring ..... warranties and all that ......

In all fairness to the trader, there would be no reason for them to have noticed one of those annoying little clips had broken, why would they remove a fairing panel if they don't need too ?
I could try to get the work done under warranty but it will be quicker for me to just deal with it, it's a little sin hidden by the previous owner.
New set of stainless fairing bolts should have arrived days ago but they are stuck in hyperspace which Parcel Farce call 'attempted to deliver'
How is it so difficult to get a jiffy bag full of fasteners from Pembrokeshire to Bristol to Bath?

Aaah, steps back at takes an admiring look at the remedial work....
Broken clip was fairly easy to remove in the end, new clips sourced from

www.adl-components.co.uk/

Looks really nice with stainless replacement fasteners , must now get to grips with posting images

Ah, OK, for some reason I'd got the impression that you'd pushed the boat out and bought new - I guess it was probably because you had been getting the dealer to sort out another issue.

Yep, certainly one of those issues you have to resolve yourself. Glad you found some clips.

They are exotic sandwiches:
EBT = Elephant, Bacon and Tomato (x means extra large - though all of the Elephant range are extra large)
SBT = Seal, Bacon and Tomato

Or, if you select the vegetarian menu...
English Bull Terrier
Staffordshire Bull Terrier.
X is not a sign of affection but means cross as in cross breed

Not available with Garlic Mayo

And the initial post was about a broken fairing threaded clip !
How unusual for something to get derailed on here !
