Well Katie I hope the 1290 SAS is easier to remove than the 1190, it is such a bugger to get to I ended up just leaving it in place and disconnecting the SAS pipes from the cylinders, fitting banking plates to the cylinders and sticking steel ball bearings in the rubber pipes to blank them off.

Well, according to the Rottweiler (the parts company, not the dog) video, it's a relatively simple process. Mind you, didn't fancy doing it myself...

All done

S'very nice

Smooth from top to bottom of rev range, powerful and fairly loud

Picked it up, got 5 minutes up the road, turned round and took it back as the quickshifter had stopped working! Took a bit of convincing for the remapped ECU to understand where the gears should be but all is good now

Powerful and fairly loud ticks a lot of boxes !
KTM sell many fairly brisk bikes but the ECU's seem a bit slow to catch on to preening and massages given to the peripherals and sometimes spit out the dummy.....
Usually an easy fix with a smartphone, tablet or laptop
Glad you got rid of the bloatware
